GRWM || Natural, Minimal Makeup ft. Kat Von D

Hey guys. So this was filmed almost 4 months ago, and I know it's been a real long time since I uploaded. I'm not gonna make any promises this time because they don't mean much at this point, but I wanted to say I'm still here, I haven't disappeared, and I still want to do this.

Hope you enjoy this simple, KVD centric GRWM =)

Chatty GRWM || Daytime Wedding Makeup (+ Where I've Been)

Hey all! I'm not going to apologize or explain my absence here because a) no one reads descriptions, and b) I explain in the video!

This GRWM is just me getting ready for a daytime wedding, using neutral, pretty, shimmery colours on the eyes, paired with bright pink lips. Inoffensive, but pretty, easy, and would look great on lots of people. Enjoy!

Tutorial || Neutral Eyes ft. Pixi Book of Beauty Contour Creator Palette

I loved the results when I did my eye tutorial using the ABH contour kit a while back, and I've been loving this palette as well, so I thought I'd do something a little similar and also a little different with this great Pixi palette! This palette does have a shimmery pink colour which is a gorgeous highlight, super-pale blush, or eyeshadow!

This look would be great for work, school, and especially for travel, since one palette is all you need for most of the eyes and face! Even if you don't have this palette, you can use this video as inspiration for any other contour palette you might own!

Chatty GRWM || So Ready For Spring! || Metallic Champagne Eyes & Pink Lips

Today's video is a bit of a chatty GRWM featuring a pretty, neutral metallic spring appropriate makeup look that would be great for really anywhere, be that school, work, or everyday. I also just wanted to play around with some of my favourite things and do a really casual video because I hadn't got a chance to film in a couple weeks because I had pinkeye and wasn't able to wear makeup! >_< I hope you like this video and this look, be sure to let me know if you have any suggestions for future looks!

First Impressions + Chatty GRWM || Revlon Eyes, Lips + Cheeks Palette || All-In-One Drugstore Palette

Hope you guys enjoy this chatty GRWM / first impressions on the Revlon Eyes, Lips + Cheeks palette in Romantic nudes! These seem like such a cool thing with the eyeshadows, lip products, and a blush all in one little palette, and from the drugstore too! Let me know if you've tried any of these, and if you think they are worth it!

Also, I hope you guys like the new little title animations. I learned a new thing and decided to give it a go. I really like how it turned out, and I'm hoping it makes my videos look a little more pro. Let me know if you noticed, and if you liked it. =)

TUTORIAL || Wintery Work or School Makeup || + First Impressions of Maybelline Big Shot Mascara

Hey guys! Looking for a new makeup look to wear to work or school? Maybe something a little deeper and winter-appropriate, but also still soft and workplace safe? Today's tutorial is soft, wearable, and appropriate for just about anywhere, unless you work or go to school somewhere makeup is banned. This look isn't fully matte, but the shimmer is soft, not over-the-top. I used a slightly deeper bronze on the outer corner and paired it with a deeper nude lip, which I think works well to make it feel more wintery, while still being very basic. Hope you like it!

GRWM || Rusty Matte Eyes & Pink Lips

Hi Guys! Just a wearable rusty matte eye look with bright pink lips. I wasn't sure the lips were going to go at first, but I really like how it ended up looking. As always if you think my eye and lip pairings are weird or too bold, do your own thing! =)

Maybe I shouldn't apologize, but I'm sorry anyways for the irregular uploads recently. I'm trying to get back in top of things, but things seem to keep coming up or getting in the way. Hopefully the rest of the year and into 2017 will be more normalised! Thanks so much to anyone who's subscribed and watches my videos!

Here's a quick and easy costume idea anyone can do! All you need is an all-black outfit, and some black makeup. If you really don't have black lipstick, you can use a black gel liner, as well!

Tag || How I Did My Makeup in Highschool

In which I do that challenge/tag thing that has been going around Youtube, where you share and demonstrate how you used to do your makeup back in highschool. I graduated about 8 years ago, so longer than some, but not as long ago as some others.

Still, nearly everything about how I wear my makeup now I learned in the last 5 or 6 years, around when I started my blog, so my makeup back in highschool was very simple and very basic.

Hope you enjoy this look back at my past =P

Chatty GRWM || Matte Browns (almost) All-Drugstore!

In which I put a bunch of brown shades on my face, and it works out really well =P I realise the lips aren't the brownest brown that ever brown'd, but it's about as brown as I feel comfortable with the lips being. I love how the eyes came out, and I hope you like the look too!

GRWM || Birthday Party Makeup -- David's Birthday (and Canada Day) 2016

Hey guys! In today's video I'm sharing with you the makeup I did for David's birthday party just over a week ago, which is also coincidentally Canada Day, so I've added red lips for some subtle Canadian pride =P I really love how this look turned out, so I hope you guys like it too! I used a ton of drugstore products in this one, as well, so it's really affordable compared to some of my more high-end focussed looks!

Let me know if you like the voiceover format more than just watching me do my makeup at high speed, or having me talking while I do my makeup. It's the most work to put together, since it's almost like I'm recording and editing twice for one video, but if you like it most, I'm totally willing to do more like this!

TUTORIAL || Quick & Easy 15-Minute Makeup || Great for Beginners, School, & Work!

Hey guys! I posted a video with a similar concept ust over a year ago, but looking back, I didn't like how it turned out anymore, so here I am to update that look with something I think is far more flattering for more people!

I tried to use as many drugstore products as I could and limited the high-end products I used to make this more accessible to anyone who doesn't want or can't afford higher-end products. Let me know if you would like to see a high-end makeup look with a similar concept, and I'd be happy to do that!

Also, let me know if there are any particular colours or products you want to see me use. Your requests are always welcome. =)

GUEST POST || Rebecca's Beauty Boudoir || 2 Ways to Wear White Eyeliner On a Budget

Hi everyone! My name is Rebecca from Rebecca’s Beauty Boudoir and I’ll be guest blogging on Kristy’s lovely blog today.

Something that surprises me is when people tell me they aren’t being playful with their makeup because they don’t want to break the bank. You’d be happy to know that achieving an edgy look doesn’t have to be expensive, after all makeup is all about having fun!

White eyeliner is very editorial and it’s the perfect colour to amp up your look while looking wide-awake. Today I'm going to show you two white liner inspirations while using two wallet friendly products.

1. Inner corner (NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, $6 CAD)

Highlighting the inner corner of your eyes is a trend that never gets old! Here I used the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk to brighten up my eyes. The pencil is creamy and highly pigmented. Pop the pencil in the inner corner of your eyes then lightly smudge it with you your fingers for a softer look. For a more dramatic look use a dense pencil brush to make it more prominent. You can easily wear this with a little mascara and a neutral lipstick of your choice.

2. Cat eye (NYX White Liquid Liner, $9 CAD)

A white cat eye makes as just as much of a statement as a black one! Here I'm using the NYX White Liquid Liner to achieve this editorial look. I find white very playful and the looks you can achieve with this are endless. This liquid liner is very fluid and comes with a brush applicator. Don't be scared to be as dramatic as you want because the formula is forgiving.

After seeing this I hope this dares you to be playful with white! Let us know in the comment box below what you think about this trend and how you'll incorporating it into your looks!

Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

TUTORIAL || Fresh, Everyday Makeup

This look is perfect for school, work, and just everyday in general. In my experience, these products are all long-wearing on combination skin. I also think this is a great look to pair with any lip colour you can think of, because it is simple and very neutral, and won't clash! Enjoy!
