I was contacted by Obsessed Canada (owned by Nail Polish Canada) to let me know they are now selling Sigma brushes, which is great, since they are a Canadian company based in Vancouver, with Canadian pricing and great shipping! Obsessed Canada is essentially the same as NPC, but instead of focusing on the nail products, they focus on all the other beauty products available. Sigma brushes can be purchased from both Obsessed Canada and Nail Polish Canada.
Any ways, I was lucky enough to be able to select one of Sigma's brushes to review for you all, and I was really excited since I had never tried or owned a Sigma brush before! I selected the E40 Tapered Blending brush because I wanted a new shadow blender brush, and this one looked like nothing I owned.
I've been using this brush for a few weeks now, and it's excellent! I'm a bit confused, as NPC says it has natural bristles, but Sigma's site says it has Sigmax synthetic fibres, so do with that what you will, but yeah... this brush is beautiful! It costs $20.80 CAD from NPC, though it is currently out of stock on both sites. You can ask to be notified of its restocking, however, at least on NPC. Plus, the Sigma brushes ship free with no minimum spend!
I talked a while about this brush in my Summer favourites video (I'll just leave this link here, if you're interested), but this tapered blending brush has long, very bendy bristles, and is great at a ton of tasks! It very quickly blends out a crease colour for soft, smokey edges, and is good to build up your crease colour, apply brow bone highlight, or even delicately contour your nose. The thinner, more flexible brush is great whether you want to smoke your shadows up really high, or keep it contained to the crease, making it a great brush for beginners, or anyone who finds that they blend their shadows too high consistently using denser, more over-sized brushes!
Unlike the xoBeauty Round Top Blender brush (which I still love for other things. You can find my review of the xoBeauty brushes here: on the YouTubes), this Sigma brush may be much easier to control for some. Also, unlike shorter blenders, which can be good for applying and building colour, but not so great at blending and softening, this brush performs both those tasks easily.
Really, what I'm saying is: if you want to have only one crease brush, get this one! I completely think the $20 price tag is worth it. This brush is so versatile. I'd love to try more Sigma brushes now!
If you want to pick up this brush (or get a notification when it restocks), or check out what other brushes NPC offers, head over to ObsessedCanada.com.

You may or may not have noticed that things look a little different around here...
I spent a few hours today working on updating this blog, including making a background, hardcore editing one of Blogger's free templates, making a new watermark you'll see on photos in upcoming videos, and the new signature at the bottom of this post!
I also made a YouTube banner version of the banner at the top of this blog, and same for Twitter.
I really wanted this blog to look cleaner, more modern, but still completely me, and I really love what I came up with, so I hope that you guys like it too!
If you have any feedback or criticism on anything you think I could fix, do let me know, and also just let me know how you like it!

I fell in love with Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn makeup in the Suicide Squad promotional photos and trailers, and so I had to recreate it to cosplay at PAX!
This is an awesome, easy to do makeup look that you could use to cosplay as Harley yourself, or to dress up for Halloween! I hope you liked it!
Let me know if you have any other character requests or costume makeup requests, and I'll do my best to do a video for you!
Obviously nothing related to the character of Harley Quinn or the Suicide Squad comics or movie belongs to me, I just really loved this makeup look and wanted to share my recreation!

I recently received this scent from Demeter thanks to the Canadian Beauty Blogger network. I'm pretty excited to share this with you, because I have loved the idea of the Demeter Fragrance Library for a long time, they have an amazing selection of scents, and this one is really fun!
As a kid, I loved bubble baths. I'm sure lots of people did. I was hard to get into the bath when I was little, though, since I never liked water or getting wet, but if there was bubbles I was there. I liked trying to collect all the bubbles into a pile, and making myself a bubble-beard, and bubble-hats, and a bubble version of Ariel's shell bikini. Bubbles were the best!
I used lots of brands, and I wasn't picky, but Mr. Bubble is a classic, and of course it was one of the ones I used! When I first received this scent and gave it a sniff, it didn't give me instant flashbacks, but I knew it smelled familiar. Like childhood and happiness. And a little like grade 1... which I realise makes no sense, but maybe I used a lot of Mr. Bubble that year, or maybe I had a friend in school that did =P
Anyways, this scent is so much fun. It isn't strong, intensely sweet, or overpowering in any way. It is a soft, somewhat candy-like smell, somewhat powdery, and very clean smelling... because it smells like bubble bath! The staying power isn't great, but it isn't terrible, and this is a pretty inexpensive scent, so I don't think it's a big deal to use an extra spritz in the middle of the day if you need some more.
If you don't just want to go off my poor explanation, Demeter's site describes the scent as: "nostalgic and current: a sharp fruity concoction with notes of coconut, banana and peach. A floral center of jasmine and rose along with a balsamic vanilla and powdery raspberry base, round out this memory-making fragrance." Personally, I don't smell those flowery notes at all, but what do I know about perfumes?!
If you loved bubble baths, and Mr. Bubble, and want a happy hit of nostalgia in the form of a perfume, I'd recommend giving this a shot. You can find this scent on DemeterFragrance.com for $20 USD for 1oz, or $39.50 USD for 4oz.
