REVIEW || Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Eyeshadow Palette ||Naked 3 Dupe!

In which I review the huge mouthful of a palette known as the Makeup Revolution Redemption Eyeshadow Palette Iconic 3... Good luck remembering that one!!

Let's just call it the Iconic 3... Anyways, this is basically a great, inexpensive dupe of the Naked 3 palette from Urban Decay... only it's better. Watch to see why! (Comparison swatches below the embedded video!)

LIP SWATCH + REVIEW || NYX Liquid Suede Matte Lip Cream

In which I swatch for you 16 of the 24 currently available (or soon to be available?) NYX Liquid Suede Lip Creams! I'm really excited to be swatching these for you because they are excellent, and there are so many fun colours in the range.

The four I swatch from the original 12 I bought with my own money, but the 12 from the new range I did receive for free from the NYX Cosmetics After Dark event. This has not biased my opinions of the products, though, and my reviews are completely honest.

REVIEW || ELF Contour Palette + Comparison swatches to the ABH Contour Kit

In which I give a quick review of the ELF Contour Palette, and also compare the shades to the colours found in the Light/Medium version of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit. I definitely think that this palette makes for a good semi-dupe of that palette, and I don't think most people would be unhappy with the ELF palette!

DUPES || Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick vs. MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour

So I have a fun, quick little post for you today. It's been a really long time since I wrote a blog post that wasn't product reviews, but that's what I have for you today. Though I guess technically I am kinda reviewing these two products, but in a showdown-y, comparison way...

Basically, I somehow acquired a mini of Kat Von D EVerlasting Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw probably a year or two ago, and then a couple months ago, I bought a red from MAC's Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick range... and only once I got home did I realise... theres no difference between these two colours!! So, my plan is to tell you which I think is the superior product, so you need only buy the best of the two!

The Contenders:

The Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw (above pictured in the mini size) — Size: 0.22 oz ; Price: $24 (CAD @ Sephora).

Brush:

This formula is scentless, applies fairly evenly, at least for this shade, and dries fairly quickly, and I don't find it remains at all tacky, but mattes down completely and lasts all day long. This stuff is excellent and I kinda want every colour...

The MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in Feels So Grand — Size: 0.17 oz; Price $24 (CAD @ MAC).

Brush:

This formula has a very similar scent to other MAC lipsticks, though most vanilla, and less chocolate-y. I find this formula also applies evenly, but the wand does hold more product, so it can take more working to make sure the whole lip is even, and there isn't too much product on the lips. I also don't find this one dries as quickly, and it always remains a bit tacky, unlike the KVD, so if you can't stand anything sticky on your lips, this clearly isn't the one for you. Because it doesn't dry as much, it is also easier to transfer if touched, and just over all doesn't last quite as long without touch-ups.

And the winner is...?

Don't get me wrong, I really like the MAC Retro Matte liquid lipsticks. You should see my review video if you haven't already if you want to hear more of my thoughts on that formula... But for me, the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick formula is the clear winner in this battle!

It's the same price, with more product, has an easier to use brush, dries completely, and lasts all day? What more could you possibly want?

L'Oreal La Palette Nude 2 vs. UD Naked 3 || Review & Comparison + L'Oreal Miss Manga Rock Mascara Review!

As the title suggests, today's video is a comparison of the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette and the new-ish L'Oreal La Palette Nude 2, both rosy, pinky, purple, taupey palettes, one high end, one low end... so how do they compare? Check out my video, and the swatch picture below to find out!
